Donal Hickey (1948 - 2022) Laval, Quebec and County Kerry, Ireland.
Donal died peacefully on April 7, 2022 after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his children, Hannah, Maeve and Owen, and by his grandchildren Leo, Madeleine, Patrick and Zoë, along with his brothers Bill, Jim and Tim.
He will be remembered by Margaret Moriarty and by his many relatives, friends, neighbors, and colleagues in genetics research. Special thanks to Ken Cheung and La Maison de Soins Palliatifs de Laval.
At his request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. He just wanted to "go gentle into that good night". In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to your local palliative care organization.
